Course objectives
Aim of the subject The aim of the subject is to deepen specialized knowledge of a PhD student within the focus of his / her dissertation thesis. Content The specific content of the subject is connected with the topic of a dissertation thesis. The selection of relevant secondary literature is preceded by an individual consultation of a PhD student and his / her supervisor. Consultations with prof. PhDr. I. Pospíšil, DrSc., lecturer of the subject Theory and History of Literary Comparative Studies (RTDS14), are recommended to those interested in this subject. Knowledge of students is checked by supervisors, usually on the basis of an interview or submitted written work, or on the basis of both mentioned options.

  • Basic topics, Syllabus - Definition of the term comparative studies, its content and tasks. - Czech representatives of this field, especially contemporary ones, compared with foreign ones. - Beginnings of comparative studies line in the 19th century and further important figures of the 20th century: F. X. Šalda, Arne Novák, Otokar Fischer, Vojtěch Jirát, Václav Černý. - Scientific contribution of: D. Ďurišin, M. Bakoš, Z. Klátik, K. Krejčí, F. Wollman, S. Wollman, A. Haman, J. Pechar, D. Kšicová, I. Pospíšil, M. C. Putna, Z. Hrbata, M. Zelenka.
