Course objectives
In this course, we will explore language from the perspective of psycholinguistics. We will ask questions such as how is it acquired in childhood and how is it produced and comprehended in adulthood. We will do so by examining a series of concrete questions in the field with the broader implications for linguistic theory and cognitive science in mind. This course is taught in block sessions. During the first three, the main content of the course is taught by means of lectures and in-class discussions on assigned readings. The last session is devoted to discussing the students's essays to be written between the third and the fourth session.
