Course objectives
This course is a blok seminar and the students can thus follow this course repetitively. The topic of the course depends on the research programme of the teacher. The topic of WS 2009 is sociolinguistics and the topic of mulitilngualism in the Netherlands and in European Union. The students will familiarize with the topic of mulitilingualism, code switching, the status of Dutch in the Netherlands and in Europe, the status of dialects and sociolects and the languages of other nationalities that have influence on Dutch in the Netherlands.
