Course objectives
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the development and main authors of Latin American fantastic short story as a genre.
Syllabus
  • Fantastic short story as a European literary genre.
  • Fantastic genre in the history of literature.
  • Basic concepts.
  • Latin American literature in mid-19th century.
  • Development of Latin American fantastic literature.
  • Analysis and commentary of chosen texts.
