Course objectives
Practical language seminar, grammar explanation; seminars based on original texts.
Syllabus
  • Categories of grammatical issues to be addressed: Irregular verbs, indicative tenses, adjectives, pronouns, particles, prepositions and prepositional constructions. Categories of conversation topics: nationality, jobs, describing a person, pastimes, entertainment, housing, ecology.

Teaching methods
Lecture: exposition and definitions of basic terms and their exemplification on different types of specific text (recordings), proceeding from diverse registers. Seminar: application of theoretical knowledge on authentic texts (recordings). During their presentations students show their ability to interconnect on their own their theoretical knowledge and practical analysis of a specific text.
Assessment methods
Once enrolled in the course, attendance is mandatory (min. 75%). Credit issuing prerequisite: test.
