Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with a solid base for individual reading of the New Testament. The subject consists of lectures (the theoretical part is supplemented by examples of the New Testament texts) and practice (texts in original: translation, grammatical analysis and interpretation). At the end of the course, students will be capable of a high level of grammatical analysis, will be able to translate and interpret the New Testament texts. To meet the requirements for the subject, students must, apart from the texts interpreted in the lectures and the practice, also read one gospel individually (students’ own choice).
For students of Modern Greek language, it is possible to attend lectures without examination. Prerequisites are only required if students wish to end this course with an examination.
