Course objectives
Development of speaking and writing skills Goal of reaching C1 level (language exam based on DALF C1).
Syllabus
  • 1) Listening (about 40 min) - Comprehension questionnaires following 2 recordings : - a long document [interview, lecture, lecture ...) played twice - several short radio broadcasts (newsflashes, surveys, commercials ...) played once 2) Reading - Comprehension questionnaires dealing with a text of ideas (journalistic or literary). 3) Writing : - Writing an essay 4) Speaking (30 min) - Presentation based on several written documents, followed by a discussion with the examiners.

Teaching methods
Seminar: application of theoretical knowledge on authentic topics. During their written presentations students show their ability to interconnect on their own their theoretical knowledge and practical analysis of a specific topic.
Assessment methods
Credit: active participation and attendance is required as well as written test (minimum: 60%), where students show their ability to analyze and explain phenomena in accordance (or in conflict) with the standard.
