Posluchač by měl mít dobré znalosti rostlinné fyziologie. Předpokládá se také základní znalost fyziky, chemie a biochemie.

Course objectives (in Czech)
Předmět seznamuje posluchače s mechanismy příjmu a transportu všech prvků důležitých pro růst rostlin a také s jejich funkcemi v rostlinách. Zabývá se také problematikou dostupnosti živin pro rostliny, rozdíly mezi přirozenými ekosystémy a agroekosystémy a možnými poruchami vznikajícími vlivem nedostatku nebo nadbytku živin v prostředí.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Předmět je vyučován pravidelně každý týden. Délka jednotlivých vyučovacích jednotek je pružne přizpůsovována podle náročnosti jednotlivých úloh (a po dohodě s posluchači). Zkouška je ústní.
