Course objectives
At the end of this informative course, students are able to:
use efficiently internal Information System of Masaryk University for any agenda regarding organisation of their study;
explain differences in study plans of four specialisations of the study field General Biology, i.e. Microbiology, Ecotoxicology, Plant Physiology, and Physiology of Animals;
select appropriate specialisation of their study with respect to their interests and profession;
consider topics of bachelor's theses with respect to their interests and future profession.
Syllabus
  • 1. General information about study plan. Basic orientation in Electronic Information system. 2. Three presentations of Ecotoxicology 3. Three presentations of Plant Biology 4. Three presentations of Animal Biology and Immunology 5. Three presentations of Microbiology and Molecular biotechnol. 6. Presentation of Anthropobiol. and Anthropogen.

Teaching methods
Theoretical study by means of lectures. Autonomous work with scientific literature and project planning.
Assessment methods
Students need to attend at least 9 tutorial sessions and to elaborate a short literature search on the topic: Research project of my potential specialisation.
