Course objectives
Identification of characteristic species of particular vertebrate groups focused on the central European fauna.
Syllabus
  • 1. Primary aquatic vertebrates, morphology, system, identification features 2. Lampreys and sturgeons. 3. Non cyprinids (non carps) 4. Cyprinids (carps) 5. Analysis of fish morphology and anatomy 6. Amphibians 7. Reptiles 8. Birds, morphology, system; aquatic birds (divers, grebes, cormorants and pelicans, herons, bitterns and storks, swans, gees and ducks) 9. Birds II: other Non-passerines 10. Birds III: Passerines 1 11. Birds IV: Passerines 2 12. Mammals, morphology, system; Insectivores and bats 13. Mammals II: rodents, hares and rabbits 14. Mammals III: carnivores and ungulates
