Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: Orientate in individual research fields and topics of department of immunology and animal physiology, which were presented as theoretical presentations or practical demonstrations during the course; make a reasoned decision about the theme of their bachelor or diploma thesis based on knowledge of presented research topics and methods

  • 1. Insect immunology 2. Stem cells 3. Invertebrates – neonatology 4. Cell and tissue cultures 5. Laboratory animals 6. Apidology 7. Free radicals in animal physiology 8. Carcinogenesis (role of growth factors, organic pollutants, etc.) 9. Diseases associated with / or transferred by ticks 10. Blood groups typology 11. Cell and molecular typology of lipids 12. Blood serum and lipids

Assessment methods
Students are tested via written test at the end of the course (20 questions offering a-b-c answers, only one being correct). Successful rate 50 % or higher is required.
