Course objectives
Through a scientific project to learn to identify plant species from the herbarium specimens using foreign-language literature, statistically analyze phytosociological data and prepare a scientific article for an international journal.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to:
- identify plants of foreign flora
- analyze phytosociological data
- publish the results of botanical field research
Syllabus
  • Identification of herbarium specimens collected during the previous fieldwork conducted as a part of the subject Geobotanical project 1.
  • Study of the literature.
  • Statistical analyses of vegetation data sampled during the previous fieldwork conducted as a part of the subject Geobotanical project 1.
  • Writing a scientific article based on these data and analyses.
