Course objectives
In the course are studets trained in anatomy of dentition of historical populations. The students are learned to distinguish islated teeth, to side isolated teeth, to detect pathologies at human teeth or jaws and are trained to use dental anthropological methods.
Syllabus
  • 1. Basic anatomy of human dentiton.
  • 2. The description of human dentition, the styles of dental records. Levels, lines, directions in human dentition.
  • 3. Dental tissues.
  • 2. Ontogeny of human jaws, children, adults, males, females.
  • 3. Ontogeny of human teeth, types of erruptions, changing of dentitions.
  • 5. Anatomy and distinguishing types of teeth, siding and positioning.
  • 6. Oclusion and its deformations.
  • 7. Anomalies of deciduous and permanent teeth.
  • 8. Deseases of teeth and jaws.
