Syllabus
  • Causes of a „Chemistry Curse”.
  • Wastes as Real Effect of the Anthropogenic Activities, Anthropogenic Wastes and Their Impacts on Nature and Development of Humankind. Chemical and Anthropogenic Wastes, their management.
  • Sustainable Development as Starting Point and Prevention of an Ulterior Being of Human Civilization. Sustainable Development, Chemistry, and Its Engineering and Technological Application. Principles and Goals of Green Chemistry. Methodology and Methods of Green Chemistry.
  • Resources of basic raw materials and energy for chemistry and chemical industry - conventional,permanent and renewable resources.
  • Materials (ceramics, glass, building materials, metallurgic and electro-materials, composites).
  • Plastic materials monomer productions, polymerization types, types of plastic material, application.
  • Corrosion prevention, metal corrosion. Plastic material agings, stabilization of plastic materials.
  • Voltage source based on chemical processes. Primary cells of single-use, rechargeable (accumulators), thermocouples, photocells and fuel cels. Overview and principle.
  • Fuels, solid, liquid and gaseous fuels productions, their application. Lubricants.
  • Explosives, general terms, types, application.
  • Surfactants, principle of actions, basic types, classification, production, application.
  • Polish and pastes.
  • Cosmetics.
  • Dyes and pigments, structural principles, types, colouring processes,production of dyes and pigments, optical whiteners and others.
  • Sealers and lacquers.
  • Pharmaceuticals, classification, structure and activity, overview of pharmaceuticals and drugs.
  • Phytoeffectors, pesticides and their classification, phyto-stimulators, plant nutrition, macro-, micro- and ultramicroelements.
