Course objectives
Types of computers, their parameters and computing power. Operating system Unix, its history and foundations. Work with operating system Unix, files and directories, basic commands. Programs under Unix, editors, compilators. Programing language C. Computer networks LAN and WAN. Electronic mail, Telnet, FTP. Archives and databases in computer networks. X - windows, OSF/Motif.
