Course objectives
The basic conceptions of the kinematical and dynamical theo- ries of diffraction. Kinematical and dynamical diffraction on a system of planes (Darwin's theory). Ewald s model of the crystal as a system of elm coupled dipoles and its modi- fication for the diffraction of neutrons. The reflection and transmission of neutrons on a crystal slab for an arbitrary angle of incidence. Coplanar and noncoplanar reflections and transmissions. The comparison with the Laue theory.
