Course objectives
The course is aimed especially on regional geology, petrography, mineralogy and mining geology of the Bohemian Massif and West Carpathians. At the end of the course students should be able to: describe selected geologicla units based on personal experience.
Syllabus
  • a) Student givs position of localities in a geological map and writes notes about geological situation to a diary at excursion stops;
  • b)After consultation with the excursion leader he prepares geological interpretation of a locality at least;
  • c)After consultation with the excursion leader he prepares one hand specimen of a rock at least.

Course-unit credit can be obtained after discussion on visited geological localities with geological map, field diary and rock samples.
