Assessment methods

Each course is finished by a credit test and a presentation. The passing grade of the credit test is 60%. The condition for a successful finishing of the course also includes 85% active attendance in the seminars, two revision tests, homeworks and saving ROPOTS on terms and definitions.

Cílem výuky je rozvinout schopnosti studenta prezentovat výsledky vlastního výzkumu na mezinárodním fóru a sledovat nejnovější poznatky ve studovaném oboru.

Obecné cíle: 1. rozvinout mluvní dovednosti potřebné pro komunikaci v situacích typických pro oblast vědy 2. rozvinout čtecí dovednosti tak, aby se studenti vypořádali i se složitějšími autentickými odbornými texty 3. rozvinout poslechové dovednosti tak, aby umožnily studentům porozumět odbornému textu 4. rozvinout dovednost psát tak, aby studenti dovedli sestavit žánry (typy textů) typické pro oblast vědy 5. seznámit studenty se základní odbornou terminologií 6. zopakovat a prohloubit znalost gramatiky v nových kontextech Obecné úkoly: Studenti 1. se naučí, jak popsat proces, systém, jak vyjádřit příčinu a následek, jak interpretovat grafy, jak přednést akademickou prezentaci 2. si dále prohloubí dovednosti uvedené v sylabu akademické angličtiny pod bodem 1. 3. se naučí, jak si dělat poznámky ze slyšeného textu 4. se naučí, jak psát žádost o zaměstnání, formální a neformální dopis, laboratorní zprávu, abstrakt, odborný článek 5. prohloubí si znalost odborné terminologie 6. upevní si znalost gramatiky Hodnocení: 1 písemný zápočtový test za semestr
