The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
After completing this course the student will be able to:
understand authentic biological texts/lectures
identify the main ideas
formulate the main ideas
interpret the information
discuss general and scientific topics
present simple scientific topics using basic presentation techniques
summarize a simple scientific text
classify
compare and contrast
identify causes and effects
describe a process
apply acquired skills to new topics
Syllabus
  • Syllabus: 1.biological, geographical, geological, chemical, mathematical and physical topis according to current importance and interest (necessary vocab)
  • 2.general topics (necessary vocab)
Literature
  • Le Nouvel Édito B1 nebo Latitudes 3 (B1), Méthode de français (fakultativní, pro samostudium), Les exercices de grammaire B1 avec corrigé (fakultativní, pro samostudium)
Teaching methods
Course of French for Special Purposes: specialized text analysis, listening comprehension, conversation and discussion in pairs and in groups, applying grammar in new contexts, homework
Assessment methods
Each course is finished by a credit. The requirement for a successful finishing of the course is a submission of a portfolio and 85% attendance in the seminars.
