Course objectives
It is the first lecture of the series of lectures on methods of descriptive geometry. In the lecture the survay of all methods used in descriptive geometry is given. General properties of parallel and central projections are studied. The calibrated projection is studied in details.
Syllabus
  • Properties of parallel and central projections. Affine mapping. Affine mapping of a circle on an ellipse. Orthogonal parallel projection; image of points, lines, plane and circles. Position and metric problems.
