  • Extensions of affine spaces. Complexification of vector and affine spaces. Projective spaces. Projective extension of affine spaces.
  • Conic sections and quadrics. Basic properties of hyperquadrics. Projective, affine and metric classifications of conic sections. Projective, affine and metric classifications of quadrics.
  • Differential geometry of curves. Planar curves. Envelopes. The Frenet frame and the Frenet equations of a space curve
  • Foundations of differential geometry of surfaces. The first fundamental form of a surface in E3. Envelopes. The second fundamental form.
