Course objectives
This discipline gives a basic idea about a subsystem of physical-geographical sphere with orientation on its individual processes and phenomena. Paralelly are there presented connection and relation of processes, explanation of causes and mechanisms of their functioning with a special attention to individual parts and the whole physical-geograhical sphere.
Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
to learn the basis of particular disciplines of physical geography
to understand the linkages between the physical components of the landscape

Teaching methods
Theoretical preparation - lectures, seminars including discussion on the topics from lectures, knowledge electronic tests (inquary in the IS.MUNI testing application).
Assessment methods
Succesful finishing of the course requires to pass three written tests during the term and to pass a final written exam. Active participation in discussion on seminars is also necessary presumption of fulfilling requirements. Tests and exams cover all themes presented in the lecture. Registration for the exam is restricted only to students who gained at least 96 credits from maximum of 160 credits in three semestral tests.
