  • Terminology. The "Third world". Theories of development and its disparities.
  • Common problems in the developing countries. Population's growth. Natural sources. Environment. Food sources.
  • The economic situation. GDP/capita. Human development index (HDI).
  • Agricultural sector and its importance in the national economy.
  • Natural and social conditions for agriculture. Limiting and stimuling factors of the agriculture.Labour power.
  • Land-use. Agricultural soil fund. Land tenure systems.
  • Rural areas. Rural communities.
  • New technologies and its importance. Research, education. The 'Green Revolution' - positive and negative aspects.
  • Strategies for development. Scenarios.
  • The world hunger problem. Possibilities and conditions of its solving.
  • Agrarian models of the world.
