Course objectives

Students will be informed during the semester with the basic societal and economic accesses to the regional sciences and theories of regional development. It will continue history of world and czech regional policy, history and present of administrative dividing of the Czech republic. Objectives and instruments, problem regions, institutional and programmatic ensurance will be followed up. In relation to the EU is possible to present Phare, Sapard and ISPA, next current european regional policy, including european integration, principles, objectives, pillars and institutions of regional policy and proposal of new reform of cohesiveness and so on.

Syllabus

• 1. Vymezení základních pojmů a terminologie, základní literatura, autoři. 1. Hlavní metodologické přístupy ve společenských vědách, hlavní ekonomické teorie 2. Teorie regionálního rozvoje - základní přístupy. 4. Územně správní členění státu - historický vývoj, současnost. 5. Regionální politika v ČR - historie a současnost, cíle a nástroje regionální politiky, problémové regiony. 6. Předvstupní programy EU, institucionální zajištění regionálního rozvoje v ČR. 7. Programové zajištění regionálního rozvoje v ČR, operační programy, jednotné programové dokumenty. 8. Regionální politika v Evropě resp. Evropské unii, evropská integrace, historie evropské regionální politiky, principy a cíle evropské regionální politiky. 9. Pilíře EU, instituce a regionální politiky EU. 10. EU - navrhovaná reforma soudržnosti, návrh nové architektury politiky soudržnosti po roce 2006. 11. Současný hospodářský vývoj ČR - regionální pohled. 12. Inovace a znalostní ekonomika, výzkum a vývoj, regionální rozvojové agentury.
