Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to give students basic knowledge of analytical problematics concerning nano-materials; At the end of the course the student will be able: to understand and also explain necessity of analytical characteristics of nano-materials and and having overview of basic possibilities of analytical methods, their principals and applicability to chracterize nano-materials; to use infromation on analytical methods to formulate task for doing the chemical analys by specialized laboratories and specialists; to create in students basic understanding about fundamental possibilities of analytical chemistry for characterization of nanomaterials; based on analytical results, to provide reasoned (reasoned, rational) decisions regarding environmental impacts and occupational safety; on the basis of acquired knowledge, also derive recommendations for work with unknown materials; interpret proper analytical data for further work on the development of new nanomaterials.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge of principles of methods for physicochemical analysis of materials with special focus on nanomaterials; knowledge of the application of analytical methods in the analysis of nanomaterials; the ability to choose an analytical method that is adequate to the given problem; Ability to assess the results obtained and draw conclusions from them.
