Prerequisites
- interest on chipped stone industry as important source of knowledge; - pass basic course AEB_137 or similar course at other university; - ability to work with database and geographic systems; - ability to work in full e-learning

Course objectives
At the end of course student will; - have completed methodological knowledge for complex interdisciplinary analysis of chipped stone industry; - able to choose responsibly methods to exploit adequate data from analysed collections; - orientated in foreign scientific sources (scientists, articles, hot issues); - have knowledge of specialized vocabulary of subject; - able to analyse independently collections of chipped stone industry; - able to lead archaeological experiment with chipped stone industry; - try personally refitting practice;
Syllabus
  • six lessions with optional sequention of studying; - use-wear analysis, microresidues; - archaeological experiment; - refitting; - intrasite models; - possibilities for dating; - ethnoarchaeology;
Literature
  • studijní literatura ke stažení v kurzu/further reading to download directly in the course
Teaching methods
- individual studying of course texts and further reading; - individual practice at own or borrowed collection of chipped stone industry; - feedback tests, discussions, recherches of articles; - every student pass the course individually, choose two-week lessons and besides this studies one thema specially (intensively) during whole semester

- discussion evaluation; - feedback tests evaluation; - conditioned pass through lession; - practise of methodology; - further reading recherches evaluation; - obligatory contributions to terminological vocabulary;
