Course objectives
The course provides a short introduction to traditional and contemporary folk and ethnic music of the British Isles. Discussed areas include England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. In the end of the course, the student should be able to recognize selected music genres and characterize them shortly, supporting his/her knowledge with selected contemporary academic materials.
