Students are supposed to be interested in the literary theory and literary fiction. Knowledge of south-slavic languages is not obligatory.

Course objectives
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to analyse a literary text, to interpret a literary text and successfully apply literary theory knowledge on his or her own studies of literature.

Teaching methods
A lecture and seminar focused on application and practice common skills such as literary text analysis and its interpretation. Discussion with the colleagues about particular problems of literary theory.
Assessment methods
Student is supposed to fullfill requested tasks, to be active in discussion. 80% attendance on the class and final essay is necessary to get the credit.
