Course objectives
The course gives the basic overview about the main problems of Private International Law. At the end of this course the student will understand the concept and subject of Private International Law and will know its sources. The student will also be able to understand the methods of Private International Law and will be able to apply these methods on simple situations.

  • Methods of PIL. Selected problems of coflict rules (public policy, mandatory rules.
  • Conflict rules for persons.
  • Conflict rules for contracts.
  • Conflict rules for rights in rem.
  • Conflict rules for delicts.
