Course objectives
The subject defines standardized terms used in spectacle vision correction and it further deals with the classification of these terms and goals of the vision correction. The syllabus of the subject covers anatomical, esthetic, and optical considerations for the spectacle assembly from basic components and adaptation of these components with respect to the specific anatomical and physiognomic features of the final user. The subject also deals with the spectacle statics, design conditions required to maintain adequate user comfort, and it introduces the basic findings of the research fields of elasticity and strength relevant to the spectacle design.

  • Spectacle lenses, theirs distribution, measure, specification and signs Optical complex of glasses and human pair eyes Requirements on the centering of spectacle lenses Bending of glasses centre Respecting of axial position of corrective spectacle lenses before eye Systematic adjustment and adaptation of glasses
