Course objectives
Lecture of Refraction provides students with the knowledge required to complete orientation in the field of refractive errors of the eye and the possibilities of their correction in childhood. Practically students verify acquired knowledge in exercises in the examination rooms and optical laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine and pediatric ophthalmology department at FNB. The aim is a comprehensive knowledge of the issue of refractive errors of the eye and all circumstances related to them including the examination of refractive errors and their correction. The subject also includes familiarization with the necessary theory regarding contact lenses, which at the Centre for Teaching and practically verified so that after passing the subject exam were able to handle their own practical fitting including the selection of the most suitable contact lenses.
Syllabus
