Course objectives
The course is conceived as theoretical-practical. It belongs to the complex of clinical nursing;
It introduces students to the care of women in different age periods, both in health and in sickness. It also focuses on the period of pregnancy, especially for acute conditions that may occur, as well as the birth and care of the newborn, including any resuscitation;
Students will be able to understand the problems of prevention, follow-up, diagnosis and treatment of acute gynecological conditions and conditions arising during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
Syllabus
  • Physiology and pathology of genitals (inflammation, cancer, structure and function);
  • Operating gynecology (diagnosis, symptoms and indications for surgery);
  • Caring for a woman in different age groups, both in health and in illness;
  • Baby gynecology;
  • physiological pregnancy;
  • Pathological pregnancy;
  • Childbirth (physiological);
  • Childbirth (rash, protracted, operational), its possible complications;
  • Acute conditions in childbed;
  • Acute conditions in newborns and infants.
