Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
characterize the position of Natural History in the FEP curriculum;
incorporate a specific hour of Natural History in the FEP;
characterize the different forms of teaching;
complete record from observation in the lesson of Natural Hisotry
formulate learning objectives for a particular hour of natural history ;
didactically analyze curriculum;
make a thematic plan for curriculum of Natural History;
develop a lesson of natural history
Syllabus
  • 1st Working with the Framework Educational Programme for Elementary Education (FEPEE).
  • 2nd Taxonomy of educational objectives and their formulation for a specific hour of Natural History.
  • 3rd Creation of an annual thematic plan of natural history curriculum for a particular class of primary school.
  • 4th Creation of conceptual maps.
  • 5th Interdisciplinary relations in the lesson of natural history lessons.
  • 6th Virtual classroom observations on natural history lesson - completing the recording sheet and evaluating sheet.
  • 8th Preparing for a lesson of Natural History.

Teaching methods
Form of teaching: seminar, theoretical preparation Methods of instruction: explanation, discussion, working with worksheets, work with literature observations.
Assessment methods
Assessments methods: participation on seminars (1 absence is allowed) and accepting of "Receptar of beginning teachers' There will be developed seven materials verifying learning outcomes in seminars: processing of written materials The fulfilling requirements:
1) Active participation on seminars - 1 absence is allowed
2) submission 1st part of "Prescription collector of begenning teacher", which consists of seven materials created by student:
1) The completed worksheet Natural curriculum and its position in the FEP
2) The proposal of annual thematic plan for teaching natural history in a particular year
3) Educational objectives formulated for an hour of Natural History
4) Conceptual map on specific hours of Natural History
5) Overview of interdisciplinary relations developed in a particular class of natural history.
6) The completed answer sheet and evaluation sheet from the virtual classroom lesson in natural history.
7) The preparation of natural history lesson.
