Course objectives
Final examination. After passing students will receive bachelor title.
Syllabus
  • Nucleic acids, their structure, biological function and interactions with proteins. Gen, genetic information, genetic code. Prokaryotic and eukaryotic genom. Replication, transcription, translation. Posttranscriptional and posttranslational changes in eukaryota. Regulation of genomic expresion. Basic levels of regulation and its principles.
  • Molecular mechanisms of signalistion. General principles of cell signalisation. Types of receptors for receiving signals.
  • Molekular ground of changes of genetic information and structure of genomes. Molekular ground of mutations. Reparation of mutation changed DNA. Molecular ground of recombination. Transpostion.
  • Basic methods of study of genom. Enzymatic changes of nucleic acids vitro. Methods of separation of nucleic acids and proteins. Sequencing DNA. Construction of physical and genetical map of genom. Polymerase chain reaction. Hybridistion of nucleic acids. Method for determining of gemomic polymorhpism: method without amplifiction, methods using hybridisation, methods PCR. Cloning DNA basic types of vectors. Genomic and gene libraries. Principles of bioinformatics.
  • Mendel's principles. Fundamentals of genetic variability. Chromozom fundamentals of basic principles of genetics - meiosis. Interaction of aleles in the same gene a interaction of more genes. Influence of environment on gene expresion.
  • Chromozomal determination of sex. Genotypic determination of sex. Inheritance of genes fixed at sex chromosomes.
  • Charakteristics of human cariotype. Euploidy, aneuploidy, chromosomal aberactions, gen mutations. Mutagenes.

  • Anatomical terminology, orientation on human body. Basic anatomic position.
  • Composition of human tissues. Principles of embryonic development. Anatomy of organe systems of human body. Anatomy of human dentition. Variability.
  • Basic principles of growth, regulation and inheritance of growth. Principle of skeletal maturation and growth theories. Dynamics of growth, development of proportionality of child's body.
  • Ontogenetic development of an individual, synchronisation of developmental proceses. Changes in body proportionality. Biological age and its correlates. High and low body weight. Clinical applications.
  • Problematics of evaluation and interpretation of auxological data. Secular changes. Inspection technics. Somatometric technics, somatoscopy. Principles of ethic of anthropological surveys.
  • Methods of historical anthropology. Primary, secondary and tertiary burials. Skeletal burials, cremations, mummies. Mutilations and deformations of human body. Etic aspects of research in historical anthropology.
  • Basic principles of evalutation of human skeletal materiál. Excavation of skeletal materiál in terrain research. Evalutation of skeletal materiál in laboratory. Principles and methods of determination of sex, age and stature.
  • Specify of study of secondary burials. Calculating of maximum and minimum nuber of individuals.
  • Osteometric technics, skull norms, Frankfurt horizontal. Osteometric landmarks, types of dimensions, proces of measuring měření. Aspectional evalutoation of human skeletal materiál. Study of nonmetrical traits.
  • Study of human dentition, the most freqient pathological changes . Methods of evalutation of dental caries and calculus. Composition of dental plaque.
  • Cremations and its study. Methods exmination of cremations. Differences between skeletal remains and cremations. Termic changes in bone tissue.
  • Mummified remains of human body. Types of mummification. Methods of study of mummies. Changes in tissues of human body in connection with mummification proces.
