Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able to: examine and identify main representatives of parasitic protozoa, helminths and arthropods; examine and identify the microscopic morphology of parasites and their larval stages.

Teaching methods
Practical sessions designed to identify different types of parasites and vectors from the morphological point of view (using stereo and binocular microscope).
Assessment methods
Active participation on classes (absence = max 2 classes). Practical examination consisting of 10 questions asking for identification of parasites and their specific structures presented in a microscope. The student will pass if he/she answers 8 questions or more correctly.
