Course objectives
Main objective of the seminar is to enhance students' knowledge and understanding of broader perspectives of environmental chemistry. Partial objectives are: 1) to present interesting problems to students from area of environmental chemistry and ecotoxicology, 2) to introduce experts in this area to students, 3) to introduce environmental chemistry applications from praxis, 4) to give an opportunity to students to present their work, 5) to initialize scientific discussion on the topics presented.
At seminars, students learn how to:
- promptly understand and discuss new problematics
- formulate good questions
- combine new information
- evaluate, interpret, explain, present and discuss their own results
- debate presented topic

Teaching methods
Seminars organized weekly. Most of them are presentations of invited experts and people from praxis. After presetations students are encouraged to ask and discuss presented topics. It is mandatory to present diploma work once per year at these seminars.

credits granted for active participation and not less than 80% presence
