Course objectives
Subject completes pedagogical preparation of future chemistry teacher at the elementary school.
The main objective of the course is to implement and evaluate pedagogical scene of students, which are deliberately determined. Each pedagogical scene has a specific structure and assignment, for which the student has to prepare in advance. Students learn directly and immediately respond to simulated unusual situations (simulation of different pupils behavior during instruction of chemistry). Pedagogical scenes support and cultivate particular student's self-reflective activity.
At the end of the course students will be able to:
- ask questions (interview frontal repeat testing);
- solve situations;
- practically apply new educational strategies in teaching chemistry;
- select a suitable motivational strategy for teaching the chemistry topic;
- conduct a comprehensive analysis of simulated unexpected problem or conflict situation (identification, qualification and solutions).
Syllabus
  • - Technical equipment for classwork (camera, projector, notebook, interactive board).
  • - Assessment, creation and asking the questions; principles of creation of didactic test.
  • - How to solve problem situation in the frame of chemistry instruction.
  • - New educational strategies in teaching/learning chemistry.
  • - How to motivate in chemistry instruction.
  • - Creation of teaching aids for chemistry instruction.
  • - Continuous implementation of educational scene on a given topic and critical evaluation by other students and the teacher.
