They will be able to identify and analyse the style of outstanding literary personalities of the period. They will be able to interpret literary pieces as well as justify and support their views using their knowledge of literary studies. This seminar, in the form of analyses and interpretations of selected works, enables students to get a deeper insight into the problematic nature of Czech post-war literature. It draws upon the compulsory seminar "Czech literature after the year 1945". Through text analysis, students learn about the basic signs of style in individual periods, as well as about poetics of literary movements or outstanding personalities. Students will further develop all their literary knowledge and interpretational skills in order to communicate with a literary text more efficiently.
