Course objectives
The aim of the course is to inform the undergraduates about the content of the language teaching in basic schools. The seminars focus on working out preparation for the lesson (including the motivation and feed-back), selecting suitable working methods and forms (various types of lessons), preparing some additional material: texts for practising individual grammar phenomena, suitable illustrations for demonstrations and explanations, didactic games and so on, learning how to correct mistakes in written works and oral utterances of the pupils. The undergraduates can also compare a few types of textbooks and discuss their conceptions (the individual part of stylistics).
Syllabus
  • 1 Content of teaching stylistics in basic schools. 2 Methods and forms of teaching stylistics, organization of a lesson. 3 Types of lessons of teaching stylistics. 4 Preparation of a stylistic lesson. 5 Motivation, feedback. 6 Additional materials: texts for practising stylistic skills, deduction texts, didactic games. 7 Topics for stylistic exercises, topics for essays. 8 Corrections of errors in written and oral works of the pupils. 9 Teaching individual thematic units undergraduates teaching performances and their analyses. 10 Comparison of a few types of textbooks, discussions about their conceptions. 11 Lessons are accompanied by parallel and continuous teaching practice.

Information on completion of the course: Podmínkou zkoušky ze zápočet z předmětu Didaktka českého jazyka I a splnění seminárního úkolu. Zkouška se vztahuje k obsahu obou předmětů a je ústní.
