Course objectives
The aim is to conduct the students when preparing and elaborating the final theses from the point of view science and didactics. The seminar helps the students set the targets and subject of the research, introduces them to problems of linguistic scientific work, clarifies the optimal methods and procedures of linguistic material processing.
Syllabus
  • 1 – The aim and subject of the research in the field of linguistics. Diachronic and synchronic approaches. 2 – Problems of scientific linguistic work, research methods. Optimal methods of linguistic material processing. Hypothesis of the linguistic phenomenon excerptions, research probe, research (or pre-research), etc. 3 – Professional correctness – correspondence with the state of scientific findings. Presentation of new pieces of knowledge. 4 – Linguistic culture and accuracy of terminology.
Assessment methods
Consultation. Ending: Credit.
