- Course objectives
- The course follows the phenomenon of conventional literature and discusses its chosen chapters in the field of 20th century. It deals with artists who in a historical perspective were moving on the dynamic axis of the center and the periphery; the boundary and the edge of Czech literature. Course pays attention to the permeability of categories of the recognized literature and the border literature, to the tendence of the hierarchical classification of art as a high art and a low art. This classification has been peculiarly transformed in time and literary awareness. Learning outcomes Knowledge and understanding - be able recognize and evaluate strategies in conventional literature - define the place of conventional literature in a cultural environment - interpret and see connections with other literature - identify literary kitsch - compare a different interpretative approach.
