Course objectives
The relation between international and national law is examined from the point of view of international law and from the point of view of national law (constitutional law) as well. The main topic are international treaties and their position in national law, including their interpretation and application by national organs. Students will become able to apply international treaties in the field of national law.
Syllabus
  • 1. The concept of the relation between international and national law. 2. Transformation of international treaties into the national law. 3. International treaty in Czech law (Art. 10 of the Czech Constitution). 4. Special kinds of International treaties (Art. 10a of the Czech Constitution).
