Course objectives
Public Finance in the Czech Republic and EU (DSVE) The course of public finance continues the course Public Economy. It aims to deepen and extend theoretical knowledge of public finance. Its content is divided into two basic blocks. The first one explains the components of public finance including municipal finance and fund financing, budgetary system and budgeting process, structure of public expenditure and revenues and management of funds in public sector. The second block deals with fiscal federalism, the stabilising function of public finance with emphasis on the European Union's public finance. The system of knowledge gained in this course serves as a theoretical-methodological basis for comprehension of the subsequent master degree subjects in the programmes Public Economy and Regional Development and Administration. Examination: oral.
