Course objectives
Students will be able to analyze actual theatre production in complete genre variety. They also will learn methods of analysis and reconstruction of historical productions.
Syllabus
  • - "peformance analysis" in context of theatre studies
  • - analytical methods for contemporary theatre (from modernistic theatre to post-dramatic)
  • - seminar discussion about chosen actual performances
  • - possibilities of reconstructing historical performance
  • - reconstruction of performance in Czech context
  • - critical evaluation of already published reconstructions
  • - methods of reconstruction (archival work)
  • - presentation of chosen reconstructions
