Prerequisites
The knowledge of historical theatrical and theoretical literature translated into Czech and selected plays. The knowledge of secondary literature published in Czech.

Course objectives
At the end of the course students will be able to characterize the period of post-modern in its particular periods, include the work of theatre post-modernist artists into historical context respecting the changes of European civilization at the second half of the 20th century (globalization, reaction to the totalitarian regimes, development of new technologies and new media) and to relate to the other kinds of art. Students will learnt about the philosophical kontext of after-war period, the problems of interdisciplinarity and intermediality and about the main aspects of the change of the term „art“ in given period.
