Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand the sense and importance of regional history. Students will be able to confront the acquired information with national history. On the basis of acquired knowledge students will be able to solve some problems connected with their bachelor or diploma theses.
Syllabus
  • The essence and commission of regional history. The conception and determination of region. History of the communities and towns, factories, clubs, coorporations. Topographical and homeland projects. Regional history and homeland study, environmental science and geography. The work of the regional historian.

Teaching methods
Theoretical questions gone through the lectures are confronted with documentation materials. The output will be the seminar work about regional history.
