Course objectives
At the end of the lecture course students will be able to identify inter-ethnic influences in the crafts production in the Czech lands.
Syllabus
  • International character of craft technologies Artistic styles influence and inspiration from them Ars dulcis et mechania dulcis (history, technology, forms) Textile print (blueprint, tie-die, factory prints) Glass underpainting (motifs, creation, expansion) Nativity scenes manufacture (formation, centres in the Czech lands) Lace manufacture (origin, Czech manufacture) Folk painted furniture (the ornamentation and its motifs)
