Course objectives

At the end of the lecture course students will be able to identify inter-ethnic influences in the crafts production in the Czech lands.

Syllabus

International character of craft technologies Artistic styles influence and inspiration from them Ars dulcis et mechania dulcis (history, technology, forms) Textile print (blueprint, tie-die, factory prints) Glass underpainting (motifs, creation, expansion) Nativity scenes manufacture (formation, centres in the Czech lands) Lace manufacture (origin, Czech manufacture) Folk painted furniture (the ornamentation and its motifs)
