Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to enable access to the actual issues of the European Union institutions to the students. The course will have an intensive character (two seminars – 180 minutes each). Course participation requires students’ independent approach based on application of the knowledge obtained on the course EU Institutions.
Syllabus
  • 1) Present State of the European Union Institutional Design: strong and week attributes
  • 2) Institutional Reform Goals: How Should EU Institutions for 30 Member States Look Like? What Should Be Effective But in the Same Time Democratic Decision Making Process Composed of?

Teaching methods
The course is carried out by class discussions.
Assessment methods
Successful course completion requires active participation on the seminars and elaboration of two seminar papers on assigned topics, which will be presented on the seminars. These papers will be elaborated in groups formed of 2-3 students.
