Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The second part of the course is devoted to quantum mechanics and statistical physics. The final part will introduce the general theory of relativity.

  • 1. Quantum systems in a finite dimensional Hilbert space; quantum measurements
  • 2. Schroedinger equation.
  • 3. Classical a quasiclassical approximation.
  • 4. Feyman's formulation of quantum mechanics
  • 5. Perturbation theory
  • 6. Systems of many particles
  • Statistical physics
  • 7. Basic thermodynamics
  • 8. Basic statistical physics
  • 9. The correspondence between statistical physics and thermodynamics
  • 10. Quantum statistical physics
  • 11. Ideal gases: classical, boson and fermion
  • 12. Some results in the general theory of relativity
