Course objectives
The lecture presents the elements of solid state physics in the extent necessary for every student of the master physics course. A special emphasis is given to magnetic and dielectric properties of crystalline solids. After successful passing of this course the students should be able to - explain basic magnetic and dielectric properties properties of condensed matter - successfuly apply these general conclusions to new types of magetic materials - analyse the magnetic and dielectric properties of a given material.
